“When the six, 2,500-square-foot doors slid open Tuesday afternoon, an Air Transat plane was the first customer inside KF Aerospace’s new 75,000-square-foot hangar at John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport.
The $25-million hangar is part of a $40-million investment by the company that will eventually include a 70,000-square-foot training facility for 300 students from Mohawk College’s aviation programs. The students are currently spread out in four facilities.
The company added 60 new jobs for the expansion. KF Aerospace now has 200 employees at the airport with 200 more expected by 2022.”
