Celebrating a landmark year of growth and community impact

November 18, 2024—Kelowna, BC— KF Aerospace was honoured with the Large Business of the Year Award at the 37th Annual Kelowna Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards, held Friday, November 15, 2024, at the Delta Hotels Grand Okanagan Resort.

Recognized for a year of remarkable growth and significant contributions to the community, KF Aerospace celebrated a pivotal year marked by major achievements, including securing the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) Program and collaborating with the Kelowna Airport Authority (YLW), Government of British Columbia and YMCA on a new onsite child care centre to support local families.

“It’s a privilege to be recognized among Kelowna’s thriving business community, and I want to thank the Chamber, the judges, and the community for this support,” said Barry Lapointe, Founder and Chairman of KF Aerospace. “This award is a testament to our dedicated team, who make KF what it is today.

Seeing the young entrepreneurs nominated and awarded brought back memories of my early days. I’m heartened to see that the drive to take risks and build something meaningful is alive in Kelowna and continues to propel our community forward.”

This year’s award highlights achievements that have positioned KF Aerospace for long-term success. Alongside the 25+ year FAcT Program contract to train future RCAF pilots, navigators, and sensor operators, KF has strengthened relationships with key customers and expanded into new projects with partners including Air Canada, WestJet, Boeing, Purolator, and the Department of National Defence.

KF Aerospace extends its gratitude to the Kelowna Chamber, the award judges, and the entire community for their ongoing support. The company looks forward to many more years of growth, innovation, and collaboration in Kelowna and beyond.
